MASTER ELECTRICIAN / PROJECT MANAGER
The Master Electrician (C10) / Project Manager is responsible for managing the electrical interconnections for new commercial PV projects being installed in the State of California. Job duties include plan review, value engineering, permitting, coordination and supervision of electrical crews, materials suppliers, inspectors, and owner representatives, and hands on work from time to time.
§ Must possess a valid and current California C10 license.
§ Minimum three (3) years of contracting experience.
§ Experience reading and interpreting plans and schematics.
§ Working knowledge and experience with solar is a PLUS
Candidates must be able to manage and complete a variety of electrical installation duties, including but not limited to:
§ Permit applications and submittals.
§ Assist with site analysis for future projects.
§ Review design drawings from the engineer and utility provided corrections as needed.
§ On-site management of projects under construction.
§ Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
§ Ensuring work performed by all employees under their management is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes.
§ Troubleshooting construction problems and resolving issues.
§ Working with project managers, subcontractors, utility and city representatives, and employees to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
§ Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations.
§ Ability to run multiple projects and manage multiple employees
§ Strong interpersonal/human relations skills.
§ Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
§ Ability to read and interpret one-line & three-line drawings.
§ General understanding of wire and conduit sizing and how to make adjustments for environmental factors.
§ Experience creating material take offs and getting quotes from suppliers.
§ Must be willing to work in confined and high places.
§ Must have an understanding of Microsoft Office
§ Must be able to look at drawings from laptop or iPad
§ Ensure that job site is kept OSHA compliant
§ Create material lists from construction drawings
§ Assist with plan review and value engineering
