The Structural Engineer coordinates closely with the Piping, Mechanical, Vessel and Electrical groups to design foundations, structures and pipe racks required to support process equipment, process piping, instrumentation and power cable trays, and electrical equipment. Work will also include the design of superstructures and foundations for platforms, walkways and other elevated structures.
The Structural Engineer reports to the Senior Structural Engineer. Completed technical work is reviewed by senior management before being presented to the client.
The Structural Engineer should be comfortable visiting clients' facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders.
0 - 3 years of structural engineering experience
Working knowledge of AISC and ACI design codes
An interest and aptitude in the design of steel and concrete structures
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
Understanding of AutoCAD and Revit programs is a plus
Understanding of structural analysis programs
Excellent communication and writing skills
Attention to detail, highly organized and performance of self-checking of work
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering with a focus on concrete, steel and foundation design coursework, advanced degree a plus
EIT certification a plus
