Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is hiring Software Developers. Software developers will work in System z Firmware Development in a collaborative Agile environment. Responsibilities include:
coding and testing innovative applications that directly manages and controls the System z hardware.
Firmware may exist anywhere in a computing system from the central computing complex to managed consoles, power supplies, I/O adapters,
as well as, Cryptographic hardware features of the System z mainframe.

Projects include development of the world’s highest security cryptographic processors, the IBM Hardware Security Module (HSM) cryptographic processors. Development and support of I/O adapters (networking and storage). We enable inter system communication through the parallel sysplex technology which provides physical and logical connections through which multiple mainframes can communicate as a single entity and much more. We implement industry protocols, unique IBM technology and generate new intellectual properties through innovation on our projects. We contribute to the high performance of our high end servers (mainframes) which are used for secure data and transactions for some of the world’s largest banks and other organizations.
