The Customer Support Engineer position at NaturalPoint offers a fantastic blend of in-office customer support focus as well as travel to assist our customers - the world’s leaders in VR, drone research, robotics, biomechanics, filmmaking and game development.
Providing technical customer care, installation, training and application advice via phone, online forums, email, and on-site at our customer’s labs and studios.
Front line incident management, investigation, solution and follow through with an emphasis on speed, quality and customer satisfaction.
Assistance with pre-sales testing and demonstrations.
In-house testing for suitability and system optimization for new applications.
Create long lasting relationships with our valued customers by providing timely, on-target and helpful solutions to our customer’s application questions.
Up to 35% domestic and international travel.
Desired Skills and Experience
BS in a technical discipline (e.g. ME, CS, Biomechanics, other Engineering) – or equivalent experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong team player - possessing the willingness to seek feedback, adopt NaturalPoint practices, and continuously learn, evolve and improve.
Great technical acumen, proficiency with Windows based applications, networking.
Bonus Points for:
Prior experience with Virtual-reality technology, drone tracking and control algorithms, Matlab, character animation pipelines such as Maya, MotionBuilder, Human Factors, Ergonomics and/or Biomechanics.
Proficiency with software programming or custom scripting in C++ and Python.
Previous experience with motion capture hardware and software.
