Engineer Intern I Job Description

CSRS is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated professional to serve as an Engineer Intern I.
Summary of Essential Job Function
Assigns tasks to and coordinates with CAD technicians or administrative staff
Knows and applies basic concepts and techniques of the profession
Works within well-established practices and clearly defined scope of work
Demonstrates initiative on moderate problem solving within assigned tasks
Provides technical, day to day, design support to the Project Engineer including drafting support for plan production activities.
Analyzes topographic survey data
Prepares technical reports and cost estimates
Performs hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations
Performs drainage design and sanitary sewer design
Performs construction administration tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam and hold a current and an active EI Certificate
Able to communicate clearly in writing and explain work to his/her supervisor and others in the group
Willingness to learn and expand engineering knowledge
Can work effectively with peers
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
