The SMB Platform team is looking for a strong frontend engineer, who is eager to be responsible for the user interface platforms used internally by teams at Indeed. You will build the new UI infrastructure frameworks for SMB Engineering. Your primary customers are all other SMB Engineers. You’ll bring a wealth of skill and experience in JavaScript, front-end best practices, and API architecture to our product team, and be ever-vigilant about the performance, accessibility, and sustainability of the solutions you’re developing together. You and your team will release new code frequently, and use Indeed’s robust A/B testing system to understand and iterate on the changes you’re making to help people get jobs.

Our team has a history of trailblazing new approaches and technologies within SMB and you will help continue to drive that reputation. As part of a collaborative team, engineering, design, product management and QA come together to provide the guided experiences for small and midsize employers posting quality jobs.

Who You Are

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Javascript, Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl;

OR

MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 3+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Javascript Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl.

AND

Minimum 3 years professional experience in front-end engineering, including experience working on at least one public-facing product with a global presence and significant traffic.

Comfort with “vanilla” Javascript and strong experience with React.

Significant experience with large scale, high-performance systems.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Seattle 158,000 - 230,000 USD per year
