General Job Description / Summary
Researches, develops, and produces mechanical construction drawings by the following duties. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform calculations and evaluations for system and equipment design.
Coordinate with other disciplines in preparing plans and specifications.
Design mechanical and plumbing building systems and details including but not limited to ductwork, piping, sanitary, domestic water, medical gas, compressed air, natural gas, domestic water heating and solar water heating.
Make equipment and fixture selections
Develop construction documents

Perform field investigations and site visits
Create construction inspection reports
Perform Submittal Reviews
Direct work of Designers
Introductory level knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 181.1, ASHRAE 170, ASHRAE 62.1, NFPA 90A, and International Building Codes.
Presents self in a professional manner and appearance. Maintains a neat and organized workspace.

Education and Experience
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Work Experience: one or more years related experience as a licensed professional.
ABET Accredited Engineering Degree
Current PE License
LEED, RCDD, CEM, or LC (Preferred)
