This engineer will support the Lockheed Martin role sustaining and upgrading of Air Force weapon systems.
The work will focus on modifications and upgrades to these systems with the opportunity to engage in system engineering, system test and transition to operations.
Systems engineering support will also be provided for prototype development to enable the deployment of quick reaction capabilities into the field.
Analyzes proposed system design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.

Understanding of systems engineering best practices
Familiarity with model-based system engineering (Rhapsody or MagicDraw).
Knowledge of a Requirements Management System such as DOORS.
Knowledge of MS Project, Clearquest/Jira, PDM.
Knowledge and understanding of SATCOM fundamentals.
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication skills; with creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and verbal/written communication skills
Experience with SATCOM/deployed Solaris system operations.
Experience in the development, upgrading, and sustainment of space control systems and associated support and infrastructure systems
Experience working in Dev/Ops:
flexibility to support new design/architecture tasking as part of system modernization development efforts as requested
