We are currently seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to work with a government customer to drive the analysis and design of technical solutions and help the maturing of agile teams with continuous integration and continuous delivery. The ideal candidate will be able to take a project from inception to production and lead a team of variant applications to successful automated deployments.
The DevOps Engineer will have the goal of improving and modernizing the development experience internal and external to VA by providing strategies and solutions, identifying streamlined software delivery methodology and technology processes, and providing continuous integration & continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Identify and mitigate risk and issues related to the security of various systems and applications.
Utilize test-driven development (TDD) and automation, application and performance monitoring and optimization, and system functional and architectural workflows to increase the efficiency of projects.
Work closely with users and team members to understand stakeholder requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Collaborate with internal business partners to gather requirements, prototype, architect, implement and update solutions, build and execute test plans, perform quality reviews, manage operations, identify risk, and triage and recommend fix operational issues.
Coordinate with infrastructure as a service provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack).
A minimum of 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technology, business, or a related technical discipline is required.
Experience utilizing tools across various platforms and environments such as Jenkins, Docker, Github, Confluence, Kubernetes, Jira, AppDynamics, etc.
Previous involvement in the full life cycle of an application and the agile development process.
Experience in security especially as it applies to CI/CD pipelines.
Great verbal and written communication, with proven leadership skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Knowledge and experience in VA processes and systems.
Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
SAFe Agile certification.
