Water Resources Department Manager: O’Brien Engineering, Inc. (OEI) has an immediate opening for a full-time Water Resources Department Manager. With a strong handle of and background in surface water analysis, a demonstrated ability to manage projects and programs, and an established success in working with and leading people, the Water Resources Department Manager possesses technical, interpersonal, and management skills. OEI has been serving the North Texas environment in hydraulics and hydrology for over three decades. We have a strong backlog of and steady inflow of a variety of projects which include: floodplain mapping and analysis, floodplain reclamation studies, hydraulic/hydrologic/hydrodynamic modeling, drainage analysis and design, some general civil engineering, dam break analysis, etc. Our clients vary: federal, state, local government, and private clients. The successful candidate will have some education and/or experience utilizing software packages such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, RASMapper, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, XPSWMM, etc. We are seeking an individual who has a positive attitude, is resourceful, enjoys learning, desires to learn and grow and lead, and shares our values in client satisfaction and producing high quality results.

- Registered Professional Engineer in Texas
- Software experience HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, XPSWMM
- Management Experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Water Resources
- 10+ years of experience in a related field/role (surface water analysis)
