Job Title: Sales Engineer
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Business Development
Seeking top level Technical Sales Engineer(s) to promote in-vehicle networks products and on-board electronics and diagnostics, in the Construction and Agriculture, Automotive or Truck and Bus, Marine, and Military industries, locally and worldwide. Sales Engineer will need to develop relationships with both new and existing customers. Activities include conducting sales calls, presentations, trade shows, strategic alliances and developing sales in new markets. Additionally, will gather data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing. Position requires experience in various On-Highway and Off-Highway industries and requires a thorough knowledge of the industry's in-vehicle/machine products and/or services. Requires business, sales, technical expertise in these industries, and requires 5-7 years of successful business experience, a minimum 2-5 of which should be in sales. Knowledge of Vehicle Communication Interfaces (VCI), Diagnostic Authoring tools and diagnostic applications required specifically for Diagnostic Sales Engineer.
It is important that the Sales Engineer develops sound professional relationships with customers’ key engineers in order to ensure an accurate comprehension and understanding of the requirements and completeness of the deliverables.
The Sales Engineer will also participate in finding new products or services to meet the needs of our customers. The Sales Engineer is expected to maintain a high standard of technical knowledge in relation to the company and its products, services, and competitors.
Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting (cold calling) to new customer acquisition
Develop an expert understanding of ACTIA's product offerings, customer needs and the competitive landscape
Work across marketing and training functions to refine the value proposition and sales tools needed to meet sales targets
Leverage client referrals, associations and networking
Work with the ACTIA Software Support team to on-board new customers
Liaise with technical support, accounting and other areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualify new business opportunities and set up web meetings for demonstration of ACTIA products and services
Bachelor’s degree or related experience
