Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants to provide software engineering support for the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) on the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capability (MOSSAIC) program as a Software Engineer 4/5. This position will be located at L3/Harris facility, in Colorado Springs, CO and occassional work at Petersen Airforce base for classified access.
Software Engineer supporting the Agile Portfolio Engineering team. This Subject Matter Expert (SME) will lead an engineering team’s evolution from a traditional DoD software engineering environment to an OpenShift/cloud Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) environment in support of APE prototyping. Additional tasks as needed: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications: *Bachelor's + 14 year's of experiences; Master's + 12 years of experience; PhD + 9 year's of experience *Full software lifecycle development processes including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and unit test Development processes using Java, C/C++/CUDA C, Ada, Fortran, Groovy, Bash Scripting, Java script, Python in a RedHat Linux or similar environment Configuration
