Provide technical Engineering support and leader ship to supply chain, shop floor, IT, Aftermarket, Field Service and other internal customers for a number of different product lines.
Develops, maintains, and improves standard work for CAD practices
Takes active involvement in Lean Enterprise initiatives and maintenance of systems, processes and tools that support Lean enterprise goals and culture development across multiple functional disciplines.
Responsible for the project direction of assigned tasks. Encourages and empowers others to succeed. Passion and interest to drive continuous improvement in a positive manner. Accomplishes a large share of PLM work.
Design and detail mechanical systems with the use of computer design software. Complete knowledge of drafting and tolerancing techniques. Competency in 1 or more CAD systems (Inventor, Creo, Solidworks, etc.)
Execute disciplined engineering problem solving principles in a variety of environments with both internal and external customers. Travel 10-20%.
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required, MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred with 3-5+ years’ experience depending on candidate qualifications and relevant work experience.
Knowledge of multiple technologies, products and applications across the industry. Knowledge of competing and alternative technologies. Must be able to work in close cooperation with all functions of the business with a “can do” attitude, a high degree of urgency, and the ability to get things done. Good organization and project planning skills. Able to challenge and motivate a cross functional team to achieve aggressive objectives. Demonstrates proficiency in creative thinking and project planning. Ability to create and sustain a positive working environment with global engineering peers while managing a significant diversity in work.
