ABOUT THE COMPANY
Tembo Health is a virtual medical practice that helps patients in nursing homes receive care in hard to access specialties like psychiatry and cardiology. Our mission is to improve healthcare outcomes. The status quo is unacceptable, as our seniors have difficulty receiving specialty care leading to worse healthcare outcomes including re-hospitalizations. By partnering with nursing homes, Tembo Health drives quality improvement with our network of world-class clinicians. Our technology allows our clinicians to provide both complex and quality care with a seamless user experience integrating medical data from various sources.
Our leadership team has deep expertise in clinical medicine, clinical transformation, operations, and technology with experience at top institutions including BCG, GE, Harvard Hospitals, Mount Sinai, Northwell Health, and Oscar. We’re backed by prominent investors including Bloomberg Beta, B Capital Group, and Resolute Ventures. We've proven product market fit over the past two years, have customer traction in NY, TX, and MI, and are scaling upon our success.
In other words, it’s a great time to get in on the ground floor!
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Clinician in Palliative Care, you will primarily be responsible for delivering high quality clinical care to patients remotely in various settings (e.g., nursing homes, community clinics, etc.). Working from the location of your choice (e.g., home, office, clinic) you will be assigned a patient panel that you will treat longitudinally (i.e., you will see the same patients visit after visit) on a pre-scheduled basis. Our technology platform drives efficiency through EMR integration with local site facilities and we seek to further improve efficiency and quality through innovations we build. For instance, one of our novel tools collects patient collateral from caretakers 100% of the time prior to your scheduled clinical encounter.
Access is only the beginning. We rely on your input into research questions that will direct product development and validate the customer (patient, clinician) experience. We invite you to dive deep into product and work alongside our engineers to build tools that will, in turn, allow you to drive better, faster, and lower cost care. For those inclined, scholarship opportunities in top tier journals exist as well.
Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated clinician with the work ethic to achieve excellence and shape the future of healthcare. Candidates should have the desire to advance healthcare forward through the use of cutting edge technology, because the status quo is simply unacceptable.
Current clinical opportunities are based in NY (clinician can reside in another state) with additional states (CA, FL, MA, MI, OH, PA, TX) opening in 2020 and 2021. Hours range from 4 hours/week to full-time with flexible scheduling.
Compensation is competitive; partnership via stock options is also available.
