Overall Purpose: Responsible for negotiating AT&T access to buildings owned by private entities, which may require research to determine owner or responsible party, to proactively increase Fiber Green sales opportunities within a designated geographic area. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Achieve success in these primary success metrics: Buildings or Locations Granted Access Per Month vs. Target, Service Delivery Cycle Time – Median and Target Attainment %, Customer No Response (CNR) Jeopardy Rate and Resolution Cycle Time, Agreement Execution Cycle Time (initial contact to access agreement complete). May also be responsible for coaching and training other Building Industry Consultants. Job Contribution: Developing technical professional with some experience. Completes moderately complex work within discipline/specialty area. Contributes to development of concepts/methods/techniques. Moderate team impact. KNOWLEDGE: Has expanded technical knowledge in own discipline/specialty area. Applies broader knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards to work assignments. As a Planning & Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the construction of one of the largest fiber networks in the world! You’ll be responsible for the planning, design and analysis of outside plant facilities/networks. You’ll also perform the detailed design for all required feeder facility relief including Central Office transfers, major undertakings and/or routine activities after closely coordinating with the Planning group. Success in the role will require a full understanding of outside plant installation and maintenance technician activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide detailed design for feeder and distribution facilities to meet service demands and conduct job costing activities
Oversee Loop electronics engineering/coordination and transmission equipment engineering
Monitor expenditures to ensure incurred costs are within authorized levels and oversee the coordination of construction budget and project management activities
Manage right-of-way functions including investigating and acquiring easement interests in real property as well as interface with customers and other internal groups to negotiate service intervals on delayed or potentially delayed orders
Participate with other groups to develop action plans to reduce operating expense through facility replacement, modernization, bulk recovery and records correction
Coach and train other designers

Required Qualifications:
Must have a satisfactory driving record and valid driver’s license
Outside Plant engineering or Construction experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications:
4-year Engineering degree
Experience with computer aided design (CAD)
