A Project Engineer coordinates all functional and production design engineering activities for assigned project(s) by scheduling and providing technical direction for team members, monitoring design status and manning by design discipline, directing action where needed to meet the project plan and ensuring all design short falls are corrected timely and/or reports same to the VP of Engineering. Chief Project Engineer and Program Manager. Provides technical and engineering guidance to discipline leads. Accountable for engineering calculations. Ensures timely close out of the assigned project, including final documentation, and properly archived in accordance with close out procedures.

Ability to work in a team environment
Strong computer literacy
Commercial and Military programs a plus
Working knowledge of MS Office Products, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, ABS, DNV, USCG and Marine Standard practices
Must have well-rounded/diverse engineering experience, shipbuilding and production processes
Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
