NGMS is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals working toward ensuring our country's security. We want self-starters who will be part of a team of software professionals developing world-class software in a structured environment to meet our customer's high expectations.
This position will be located in Bethpage, NY. The selected candidate will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, verification, sustainment and test support for our programs.
The successful applicant will have strong C++ software design and development skills. Knowledge of computer networking, modern software development environments, software configuration management tools is a plus. The selected engineer will work within a multi-disciplined product development team to develop software systems and tools supporting our defense products. nkedMS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field
A minimum of 3 months of experience in software development
Strong C++ software development skills
Working Knowledge of MATLAB
Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance prior to starting employment (clearance not required for consideration).
Active Secret clearance
Experience with embedded software development
Experience with Model Based Engineering/UML
Experience with analysis tools such as Wireshark, debuggers, or other low-level applications system analysis software/hardware
Experience with the Agile methodology
Familiar with tools such as Rhapsody, DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest
