SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This position schedules and leads the activities of Distribution Center employees. The purpose of this role is to train leaders for future progression through a management career path.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
Facilitates/conducts/participates in various meetings.
Leads team to deliver on agreed KPI targets and/or department goals.
Ensures adherence to all EHS policies and procedures, taking action where necessary such as ergonomics, safe work practices, near miss, accident procedures, etc.
Supervises/leads employees by:
Assigning work to team.
Overseeing or preparing paperwork and reports.
Overseeing the general maintenance of work area to ensure a healthy work environment for employees and to maintain neatness and order.
Coordinating with other areas such as Clean Room/Warehouse/Quality Supervisors, Engineers, etc., to ensure that work processes/quality standards are maintained. Refers complex issues to manager.
Reviewing work performed and providing feedback regarding performance.
Coordinating work assignments, transfers, and promotions in compliance with company policies.
Evaluating individual employees and recommending pay increases as they occur.
Hiring new employees for the production line, as needed.
Receives guidance from manager and HR regarding employee relations matters; and observes and/or participates in disciplinary meeting with employee where appropriate.
Oversees the training of employees on work processes, safety, and the maintenance of cleanliness standards.
Participates with members of the management team to set and ensure that profitability goals are being met.
Assists with reviewing and identifying opportunities to improve work processes and methods.
Assures that the work operation is consistent with current procedures and other standards.
If applicable, ensures that all line clearances and related paperwork are properly completed on a timely basis.
Performs administration of NC's and ensures closure of them in a timely manner.
Performs administration of EPWO's if required.
Performs other tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education equivalent to a high school diploma or certificate of leaving.
Five years of related experience - in manufacturing, quality assurance or warehouse - with three of those years in a leadership role.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods, preferably in a related medical manufacturing field.
Ability to read and understand manufacturing and production information, including production drawings, work orders, and related manufacturing specifications.
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify improvements in work methods and processes.
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train employees and demonstrate tasks to assist new employees to learn correct work processes/procedures.
Ability to work effectively as a team member to achieve work goals.
Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
