HID Global seeks a Process Engineer to be an integral member of the Operations Excellence Team. The Process Engineer’s primary responsibility will be to drive continuous improvement, with quality performance, velocity, process efficiency, and instruct others in continuous improvement tools and principles. This position will understand customer needs and requirements to increase value for the customer and HID Global, while providing the synergy for making improvements possible. The Process Engineer will deliver improvements that are measurable, sustainable and become the new standard. This person should be an action-oriented, collaborative as well as hands on.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Guide the effective application and integration of Lean implementation and process improvements across the operation
Identify opportunities for process improvements in support of order management and entry processes
Identify process improvement opportunities within order management and the supply chain organization to develop and implement tactical plans to realize improvements
Benchmark best practices and interface with outside entities regarding Lean knowledge sharing and best fit processes
Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others without direct authority
Interface and effectively facilitate with members at all levels in the organization, including senior leadership
Identify and implement creative cost reduction opportunities, defining scope and project justifications
Continued follow-up with leadership and operation to ensure improvement activities are on track, providing coaching and direction to ensure goals are achieved
Determine standardization/optimization of run conditions
Produce relevant documentation as e.g. work instructions, process flow charts, …
Partner with leadership to develop measures of performance and implement
Develop capabilities to forecast resource requirements

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience that includes project and/or operations management
Experience in utilizing Lean methods in conducting Kaizen events & driving change
Knowledge of basic operations metrics for cost, quality, continuous improvement
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills – track record of communicating across various levels of an organization
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience with capacity modeling software preferred
Knowledge of Oracle and Order Management software preferred
Programming skills added plus but not required
