Symitar is currently looking for an Applications Engineer Supervisor to join our Network and Hardware Services (NHS) team. As our Applications Engineer Supervisor, you will provide direct supervision to 4 Applications Engineers who are responsible for SymApp infrastructure support, Episys Monitoring, cloud-based application monitoring and working with other applications as needed.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in an Information Technology role.
Previous supervisory experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Working knowledge in the areas of applications, networks, and security. May require strong knowledge of enterprise applications.
Excellent knowledge of the financial industry.
Excellent knowledge of JHA applications.
Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to complete complex application installations and provide ongoing support of those applications.
Able to provide application training to customers.
Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
Performs supervisory duties such as writing performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching employees, and serves as an escalation point for difficult issues, questions, etc.
Analyzes and recommends resource requirements for installations, including assignment of installation team members.
Serves as a leader and resource for the installation team members. Exercises the responsibility and authority to take steps to ensure a successful installation.
Maintains effective communication with customer throughout entire project.
Monitors all phases of the installation and escalates issues when necessary.
Documents issues, ensuring they are not repeated in subsequent conversions. Maintains customer issue list and ensures all are forwarded to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Provides ongoing application, network and security support including servers, firewalls, routers, active directories, etc.
Conveys customer feedback to development staff.
