SUMMARY: The Readiness Improvement Program Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing the NAVSEA Readiness Improvement Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive technical and logistical support for the NAVSEA Readiness Improvement Program (RIP) to include
Readiness Improvement Program Fit Test and Sizing - conduct chain of custody and turnover of mask leakage testers in accordance with guidance provided by NAVSEA 05P5.
Deploying Fit and Sizing Teams - deploy field teams to conduct protective mask fit test and sizing protocols.
Readiness Improvement Program Ship or Unit Assessments - conduct detailed assessments of ship or unit designed CBD Individual Protective Equipment.
Readiness Assist Visits - provide comprehensive technical and logistical support for the NAVSEA Chemical Biological Readiness Assist Visits.
Responsible for operator certification training and individual fit testing of U.S. Navy personnel and conducting random assessments of IPE, along with detailed analysis and resultant recommendations
Directly supervises employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work
Bachelors Degree desired.
10 years experience in projects involving maintenance, repair, testing, product improvement, or alteration of Chemical, Biological Defense (CBD) Individual Protective Equipment (IPE), Detection or Decontamination systems or other shipboard equipment.
Maintain and active security clearance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good troubleshooting skills.
