This position has responsibilities for improvements within manufacturing operations in line with overall company metrics in the areas of Schedule, Cost, Quality, and Safety. A key role for the operations organization ensuring achievement of day-to-day results as well as development and execution of long-term goals by focusing on action plans.
Assist in designing manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling
Assist in designing sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of subassemblies and finished product and other functions that may affect product performance.
Reviews and provides feedback of final product and equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection, testing, and troubleshooting requirements into the production plan.
Initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Develops manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting procedures that are applicable to Six-Sigma, Lean, and SPC principles.
Provides feedback and guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize manufacturing techniques and improve metrics.
Research and implement where appropriate advanced technology solutions, benchmark ideas which help the manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Creates verbal and visual Manufacturing/Process Instructions (MPIs) for standard sub-assembly or final product manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Majority of the time spends time with technicians to better observe, understand, and evaluate opportunities for improvement
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and best practices including 6S and lean work principles.
Bachelor’s degree required in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Applicants are expected to have the ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Willing to work with 3D software to review, edit, modify models as well as create visual work instruction is desired.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
