As Dynapower’s Associate Product Engineer, you’ll act as the liaison between R&D and outside manufacturing partners for the design and production of new products. While Dynapower designs and builds a lot of our products in-house, there are certain things we strategically outsource to partners with more expertise. Making sure those partners and our R&D Engineers are in-sync is where you’ll come in as you apply your technical know-how in a product environment. You are great at collaborating with other departments and have an intuitive understanding of product and process scalability. You understand electrical power equipment product compliance and know how to work with a global supply chain of domestic and international partners. You can keep a cool head and meet your deadlines when working on multiple simultaneous projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
On an average day, you’ll
Liaison with R&D and contract manufacturing partners for the design and production of new products
Collaborate with QA and Procurement to make sure we can keep up our high-volume manufacturing pace
Identify opportunities for product cost cut and improvements in process efficiency
Help problem solve product design issues with a view towards product scalability
Document and maintain product configurations and system revisions
Act as a point of contact and track open items with our global network of suppliers
What You Need To Apply:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working for an industrial equipment manufacturer
Demonstrable experience of successful product engineering
Experience in power electronics, power system, and/or compliance
Experience working in a global supply chain managing Contract Manufacturing
Experience with product compliance

Work Environment:
This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday. This position requires periodic evening and weekend work. It is based in South Burlington, VT. This position may require up to 25% domestic, overnight travel. Periodic international travel may be required. The position operates in both a professional office environment and manufacturing environment.
