Provide proposals for collaborative projects that will solve customer challenges and lead to long term sales of Product Companies’ products.
Create and develop new ideas for new technology while aligning to the overall business strategy.
Provide electrical circuit knowledge with the ability to build circuits and program the latest PLC designs for Innovation Center projects.
Play an active and coordinating role for various project teams in addition to providing technical support to the project team as it relates to Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, and Electromechanics.
Collect and interpret information and translate this information into electrical design specifications for project teams.
Collaborate with Edwards Teams to influence product roadmaps.
Qualifications and experience:
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Automation, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical experience preferred.
Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience; internships will be considered.
Knowledge of semiconductor industry is desirable.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and PLCs.
Experience in 3D modelling CAD system; Autodesk Inventor and/or CATIA V6 will be an added advantage.
Experience in PLM/PDM system; Autodesk Vault and/or 3DX will be an added advantage.
Hands on experience in designing and building various types of tools including robotic lifting tools, assembly tools, special purpose tools, measuring tools, is desirable.
Material selection capabilities including understanding of global engineering standards (e.g. ISO, DIN, etc.) would be an advantage.
Basic machining and welding experience are desirable but not required. Willingness to learn is preferred.
Basic knowledge of Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics is ideal.
Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions to exceptional problems outside the box is required.
