The Information Management & Analytics manager provides overall management and leadership for key components and day-to-day activities of the reporting and analytics team. This role is responsible for the supervision, education and development of the business intelligence developers and healthcare data analyst staff. This includes all phases of reporting; report design, measure development, data collection, summarization, documentation and validation to support the information needs of Carle management, staff and providers.
Masters Related Field or Bachelors Related Field or Associates Related Field
Minimum three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree, five (5) years with Bachelor's degree, or seven (7) years with Associate's degree in managing and/or performing high-level analysis and reporting. Expertise and leadership to teams in interpreting data, identifying trends, and presenting information to internal and external customers in clear, concise and useful formats to facilitate interpretation of complex data, identification of recommendations for areas of further investigation or intervention and development of creative problem solving approaches to solve business issues. This role requires a command of design, development, testing and best practices of enterprise relational databases. A solid understanding of business analysis and BI tools leveraged throughout reporting and analysis is also required. This individual must possess strong planning, leadership, analysis, communication, documentation, presentation, and negotiation skills as the team interacts with business customers at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Advanced computer skills including Windows-based applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.) or other online collaborative tools. Proven ability to communicate effectively and appropriately; using good judgment as to what to communicate to whom as well as the best way to get that accomplished. Proven ability to independently manage timelines and priorities of multiple assignments and projects involving complex, multi-entity companies. Leads, mentors and trains staff on time management and prioritization.
Work with the customer and business leaders to understand requirements and data needs and translating those needs into information that is useful and actionable.
Evaluate reporting options available and select the best reporting tool for the request.
Guide the development of major applications and solutions at critical stages, providing direction and guidance to project managers, designers, developers, and team members.
Review multiple business models and identify trends and making connections between disparate pieces of data/reports.
Execute on team projects and work by providing clear goals that are supportive of the overall strategy, a means of measuring progress toward the goals, and clear accountability for the progress.
