Research Engineer I
Leidos' Military & Veterans Health Solutions Group is sourcing for candidates for a Research Engineer I to support the Naval Medical Research Unit in San Antonio, TX (NAMRU-SA)and their Combat Casualty Care & Operational Medicine (C3PO) program. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Provides support in professional biomedical engineering functions involving medical research practices to support the laboratory’s efforts.
Demonstrates knowledge of biomedical engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
Coordinates all design phases with contractor personnel (lab/project managers, other engineers, and technical support personnel).
Support the Government in direction of the integration, fabrication, and functional testing of systems after installation to insure that performance meets specifications and customer requirements.
Resolves novel systems and design engineering problems which require the development of new techniques or the innovative application of new state-of-the art technology.
Bachelor’s Degree with one year of related experience.
Candidates must display a knowledge of and experience with MATLAB/Simulink/LabView
Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team
Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists; excellent written and verbal communication skills
US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance is required
