Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, Texas. The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in some of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s highly innovative and ingenious solutions to complex technical problems facing the aerospace industry. You will leverage your technical, leadership and interpersonal skills in a structured team framework and work in a cross-functional team environment.
The LM MFC Software & Cyber Engineering organization is seeking a software engineer to support multiple Poland Offset development program efforts, specifically Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) and Motor Control Unit (MCU). Responsibilities will include software development from requirement analysis to integration, acceptance test, and delivery. HWIL program development effort is to be executed by LMMFC US personnel, while LMMFC US personnel effort for MCU is providing guidance and supervision to software development team. Much of these tasks will be to guide and supervise engineering personnel who are not familiar with LM software development processes. Software for both programs is hardware intensive, candidate should have experience with device drivers, FPGA development, hands-on experience related to hardware testing and embedded systems and simulation systems. Experience with C and C++ programming languages in a Real-Time Operating System or Linux environment is required.

The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.
Experience working with embedded software engineering teams through full software life cycle development.
Experience with C and C++ programming languages in a Real-Time Operating System or Linux environment.
Ability to present status to the customer and engineering/program management.
Proven Architecture Experience using modeling tools - Experience with SW Integration.
Experience with Qualification test planning and execution.
Experience having worked in multiple different SW teams or organizations.
Strong communication skills in order to adapt/explain solutions to different organizational environments.
FPGA development experience
