The role reports to the Country Service Manager II and is located in Richmond, Virginia.
Order/Project execution and control: Conducts analysis of plan versus actual order/project performance under supervision. Prepares materials for and assists in order/project reviews, including RMAs. Updates orders/projects materials adjustments approved by order/project management, in SAP or other order/project controls systems. Monitors, controls, and releases requests for shipping, returns, and invoicing based on instructions from order/project and operations management.
Stakeholder relations: Effectively communicates appropriate information to internal order/project stakeholders.
Acts as the liaison between service and other internal departments.
Inventory/Document controls: Inventory/documentation accuracy and consistency based on tasks assigned by order/project and operations management. Adhering to the ISO 9001:2015, SAP, and SFDC requirements for inventories (parts, materials, tools, test equipment, PPE, etc).
Ensure spare parts inventories are received, maintained, and distributed according to procedures & stakeholders.
Maintains organization and accuracy inventories and records.
Assemble kits of parts for orders/projects.
Control access to inventory rooms and/or warehouses.
Issue inventories to personnel and/or contractors.
Activities: Receives and processes orders/projects/Return Material Authorization (RMAs) from internal/external customers, distributors, outside sales, field representatives in SFDC/SAP.
Investigates parts needed by internal/external customers, review orders/projects, ensures that the orders/projects are complete and correct, and sends out acknowledgements as required.
Maintains constant contact/communication with internal/external customers and responds to related inquires/requests.
Advises the engineering team of corrections need on bill of materials (BOMs), templates, or other documents/literature.
Escalations: Recognizes, documents, and alerts the management team on trends related to inventory.
Daily management of material orders/projects, by using evaluation, collaboration, and reporting to reduce defects in Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Metrics.
Identifies and escalates material order/project issues to order/project management.
Ability to be on call to meet order/project off hour/weekend escalation.
Other duties as assigned related to service operation demands.
Associates degree in a related field; or related military or other related experience; and 1 to 3 years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
Warehouse, bill or materials (BOMs), production, inventory management, ISO 9001:2015, and controls.
Able to use SFDC, SAP, PLM, shipping, and other software platforms associated with position.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe.
Excellent organization, prioritization, verbal, and written skills.
Ability to deal with internal/external customers/engineers where tact may be required to maintain continuing harmonious relationships
Motivated independent self-starter who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills in relaying information in an understandable and comprehensive manner.
Ability to travel 20% of time.
