Join our Mechanical Engineering Division and collaborate with project managers to understand client requirements related to their Mechanical/Ocean/Civil engineering needs and translate those requirements into functional designs, creating complete fabrication/manufacturing drawings, generating other fabrication/manufacturing process documentation, providing engineering/project reports and calculations, supervising fabrication activities and designing/managing the verification/validation testing required to demonstrate that the final product meets the client needs. May be required to assist project managers on large-scale testing project tasks to include, but not limited to, identification/development of: testing apparatus, control systems, data acquisition equipment, gauges, and development and execution of test procedures, and reports.
Requires a BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Ocean/Marine, or Civil/Structural Engineering with 3-5 years of experience. EIT or PE is a plus. Must have at least a 3.25 GPA. A Background and/or knowledge in welding processes and specifications is a plus. Experience in pressure vessel design and/or subsea design a plus. Experience in oilfield equipment design a plus. Experience with structural testing (e.g. loads, temperatures, pressures, etc.), controls and/or data acquisition a plus. Knowledge of underwater structures, diving, hyperbaric systems and/or the impacts of underwater environments on structures a plus. Must have a desire to seek out new projects and succeed in a team environment. Must have experience and knowledge of drafting standards, tolerances, and manufacturing. Must be able to perform analysis of structural components using hand calculations and finite element analysis (ANSYS preferred). Experience with structural testing (e.g. loads, temperatures, pressures, etc.), controls and/or data acquisition a plus. Must have demonstrated design/drafting experience using Creo and/or Solid Works. Must be familiar with designing for manufacturing/fabrication, weld symbols and GD&T. Must have experience and knowledge of drafting standards, tolerances, and manufacturing, able to perform analysis of structural components using hand calculations and finite element analysis (ANSYS preferred). A valid/clear driver's license is required.
