An Account Manager’s responsibilities consist of selling or introducing XALT Energy products or services to targeted customers (existing and potential). The Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for commercial topics including: development and submission of proposals in collaboration with the respective XALT technical contact, contract (PO’s, NDA’s, LTA’s, etc.) implementation and execution, sales forecasting and award communication, and track the progress of awarded programs to ensure on-time delivery to the satisfaction of the customer orders. This role is the primary commercial interface between customers and the XALT organization.

Demonstrates a very good understanding of the Li-ion market for Electric Vehicles, Buses, Commercial Trucks, Marine, and Grid.
Understands and is sensitive to the competitive landscape, knows XALT’s competitors’ strength and weaknesses, and can articulate and sell XALT Energy’s value proposition.
Good prospector capable of identifying decision makers amongst targeted customers
Maintains and grows current accounts.
Customer focused –able to balance the voice of the customer with the voice of the business.
Capable of developing professional quote packages and presenting them to prospective customers, both written and verbal.
Manages sales revenue plans and forecasting sales
Assures major customer programs are delivered on time to committed delivery dates.
Verifies Purchase Orders (POs) agree with quotations.
Provide support to Product Marketing to develop, update and maintain technical marketing material for brochures and other marketing materials.
Facilitates customer implementation of product change notifications (PCNs)
Capable of converting customer requirements and challenges into XALT Energy solutions.
Working knowledge of different battery chemistries and value propositions associated with each.
Able to competently and confidently represent XALT at conferences, shows and technical seminars.
Provide customer updates to timing and delivery with support from Customer Service
Initiate and maintain Program Charter
Develop and maintain Program timeline through collaboration with the customer
Obtain customer’s commercial requirements
Support Application Engineer to ensure all customer technical requirements are received
Support Customer Service to coordinate pre-production (demo) builds with Operations, track and initiate software deliverables, and schedule commissioning events
B.S. degree or Master's degree in Engineering and/or Business (or related field)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business to Business sales in Technical Area
Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant responsibility
Li-ion battery experience a large plus
Willing to travel up to 30% of time
Working knowledge of CRM
Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Highly proficient level computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Prominent organization and presentation skills
Excellent time management skills
Highly energetic and self-starter
