As an Environmental Engineer or Scientist with Fishbeck, you will be involved in every step of the environmental compliance process with our clients. Walk alongside industry leaders and partner with government agencies to assess environmental impacts, propose creative solutions for clients to maintain compliance, and fulfill regulatory requirements for projects.
This position will work on a wide range of projects assisting a diverse clientele with environmental compliance services including:
Providing regulatory assistance.
Preparing various reports and permit applications.
Writing environmental plans including SPCCs, PIPPs, HWCPs, and SWPPPs.
Conducting inspections and collecting and assessing storm water samples.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulatory agency personnel.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Common office tasks involve sitting, standing, walking, using a personal computer, and communicating verbally. Majority of work is conducted indoors with occasional project site visits. Lifting up to 50 pounds, maneuvering outdoors, and using technical data collection equipment may be required. Must be able to drive vehicle to project sites and meetings with clients. Travel for field work or work at client sites depending on client needs or requirements. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities.
Bachelor’s in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
3+ years in environmental consulting.
Working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
Experience preparing various environmental reports and other regulatory agency documents.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Accurate, dependable, self-motivated, and organized.
Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, and other MS Office Suite products.
Hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to job sites and client meetings.
