Prepare designs, specifications, analysis and recommendations for development of new products.
Responsible for the development of control architectures, algorithms, and requirements for high power energy conversion systems.
Maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, sketches, drawings, specifications, etc.
Render technical advice and assistance to other product development personnel as to designs, specifications, information sources and testing procedures.
Oversee the operations involved in the construction and testing of prototype products.
Other duties as required.
Basic Minimum Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering. Advanced course work in areas relevant to product development is preferable.
Knowledge of control engineering, power electronics, electric machines, power systems and embedded software development.
Knowledge regarding control of power conversion systems including motor control algorithms (V/Hz, High Performance Vector Control, etc)
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Extensive knowledge of MatLab/Simulink and Computer aided engineering design tools. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Basic Knowledge of reading and programming C and C++ code.
Able to contribute as a member of an organized project team of engineers.
Master’s degree (M.S.) in Engineering.
Experience with control of power conversion systems including power electronics and motor control algorithms.
Knowledge of High Performance AC motor drives
Knowledge of various motor types, including Induction motor, Permanent Magnet motor, and Synchronous Reluctance motor machines.
Knowledge of Model Based Development and embedded code generation using MathWorks tools.
Knowledge of SimPowerSystems and Plecs simulation software.
Knowledgeable and well informed on new developments in research and engineering fields.
Strong analytical and technical skills.
