Position Description:
We seek an individual with a degree or certificate in GIS, Geography, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Computer Science or equivalent to assist with quality control of mapping products created by subscribing customers of the genesismaps.com and biobasemaps.com web services. The candidate will create and edit high resolution shapefiles, inspect the quality of user uploaded sonar logs for C-MAP cartographic products, and assist with customer support. The candidate must have previous academic experience in GIS and an interest in water, remote sensing, cartography, and an ability to quickly grasp and apply technology. Interest in marine electronics is a plus.
