Roush has an immediate need for Entry Level Powertrain Calibration Development Engineer to join our team. The Entry Level Powertrain Calibration Development Engineer will develop powertrain calibrations for future automotive products. The role will support the design and development of powertrain hardware, controls software, and other vehicle systems. The Entry Level Powertrain Calibration Development Engineer will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.
As Entry Level Powertrain Calibration Development Engineer, you will:
Calibrate all aspects of powertrain function, including core engine control hardware characterization, electronic throttle control and reliability monitor, OBDII, tailpipe and evaporative emissions and auxiliary subsystems
Coordinate instrumentation and test equipment setup
Perform dynamometer and vehicle-based powertrain calibration development test procedures
Analyze test results and review findings with team members to calibrate the powertrain control system
Perform hot climate, cold climate, and high-altitude development testing to meet customer objectives
Minimum qualifications to be considered:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical engineering or equivalent
Experimental method, data analysis and reporting obtained through coursework or work experience
Ability to work independently and in a fast paced, dynamic workplace
Good MS Office Excel skills
Good intrapersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Basic knowledge of powertrain system operating principals
