As an experienced Senior Project Manager of Land Development for Blockchains, you will be an innovative, motivated, and organized self-starter with a strong project management background and proven success in large-scale land development. The incumbent will manage and drive the land development design team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will represent Blockchains and interface with the clients from the project's initial phase through the entire life of the project, including post-agreement marketing activities. You will interact with county and state offices while overseeing the land development process. In-depth knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, infrastructure planning, and program management is key. Knowledge of emerging technologies in the construction industry is strongly preferred. To be successful in this role, you must be a strategic thinker with a strong degree of initiative and the capacity to develop and implement critical project milestones.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Successful implementation and management of smart city development projects.
Supervise/coordinate and lead a team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.
Demonstrate thought leadership in the smart cities' space and be able to communicate the importance of new ideas and trends in smart cities to engage both senior level officials, executive management, relevant partners, and government agencies.
Supervise and assist with the preparation of project plans, zoning, reports, and specifications.
Develop a smart city roadmap in partnership with engineering and products groups across the organization.
Undertake research on smart cities, engineering conditions, laws, and permitting organizations such as city, state, and county officials to develop knowledge of the permitting process and the application of codes to engineering assignments.
Responsible for understanding competitive products and trends in the industry, incorporating those into the product roadmap and ensuring competitiveness of future products.
Work with legal to negotiate construction, engineering, and other related contracts.
Assist with coordination of builder activities, including design review, permit applications and submissions, and other functions to ensure continuity from planning through completion.
Work with the finance team to approve all project invoices regarding work completion and quality.
Monitor compliance across all points of the project including contract, environmental, and government compliance.
Perform economic and non-economic feasibility analyses for each project under consideration.
Conduct due diligence tasks to safeguard the company's investments and corporate integrity.
Ability to interpret and analyze contracts, governmental regulations, and technical procedures in order to write reports, business correspondence, and draft procedure manuals and project scope documents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Capable of building strong data-driven arguments to prioritize the business strategy.
Experience and knowledge in site development, grading, utilities, and drainage design for residential, commercial, mixed-use, highway, roadway, rail, and public works projects is desired.
Effective interpretation and application of rules and regulations, financial analysis, constraints, and reporting variances.
Minimum of 10 years of project management in land development (preferred).
A bachelor's degree, with a major in urban planning, business administration, real estate, civil engineering, or a closely related field.
Business development skills and the proven ability to Oversee large-scale project through to successful completion.
Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
Ability to manage land development projects profitably.
