Research Engineer

Laulima Government Solutions is looking for a Research Engineer to support an Audiology customer by providing general support for studies that utilize Integrated Platform for Clinical Assessment and Monitoring (IPCAM) and/or electronic hearing loss simulation systems to evaluate hearing health, conservation, and readiness. These studies are to be conducted at US Military Installations including but not limited to Ft. Campbell, Ft. Benning, Ft. Meade, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Stewart, Quantico, Camp LeJeune, and Camp Pendleton.

Support Hearing Health Assessment, Conservation, and Readiness Studies.
Develop custom software and the integration of software and hardware components to support the execution of the research projects and pilot testing of the systems developed to carry out the research.

5-7 years of research experience and MATLAB coding ability, required
Possess strong programming skills and experience with software application design, development and testing. Offer innovative technical solutions; Experience designing and implementing research experiments with high technical sophistication in a military operational research setting
Possess excellent critical thinking with problem-solving skills, the ability to work cooperatively in a team setting, show flexibility in responding to changing demands, timeline, and priorities, and the ability to effectively communicate the results of work to clinical, military and academic communities. Experience with technical documentation.
Possess experience in processing and analyzing data as well as the ability to identify and perform appropriate statistical analyses.
Maintain research training qualifications per the department of research regulations (e.g., Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative CITI)
Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers.
Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.

Must have minimum of Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Speech and Hearing Sciences or a related field
