Key Roles/Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
Oversee the set-up and functioning / maintenance of all automated equipment and machineries like Set-up cold-end auto inspection equipment such as Tiama MX4, M-Cal, Plug and Dud detector, etc. Document all baseline reading, settings, positions and store for future reference
Analyze reject data to verify/ determine if the inspection equipment is set-up as per production specifications and are isolating defective bottles only and minimize the loss of good ware due to faulty equipment set-up.
Analyze data from Quality department on cold-end coating system (AP -5 system) and make adjustment to the equipment as needed in alignment with Quality standards
Test and challenge existing equipment to ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and highlight areas for improvement
Repairs, installs, replaces and tests circuits, equipment using hand tools and testing instruments to ensure proper functioning of the equipment for smooth operation of the Plant
Troubleshoot malfunctions to identify problems in mechanical parts such as hydraulics/pneumatics, gear box, conveyors, tooling fixtures, etc. Replaces such defective mechanical parts as gears, bushings and bearings and such related electrical parts according to diagrams, if needed.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
Research new equipment / machineries and recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs
Develop clear understanding of new automated equipment intended function, communicate/train technicians on set-ups and maintenance
Participates in the final check-out of new installations in adherence to functional specifications and ensure that condition and documentation preservation is performed. Participate in system functional performance testing
Carry out Reliability Centered Maintenance methods (development of Work Instructions, support Techs for continuous improvement of equipment performance)
Review the logs of various machines in the plant to focus on improving machine uptime & meeting cost goals. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
Create and implement a checklist for all equipment to ensure all inspections are done on a periodic basis
Analyze maintenance logs and derive trends for determining the periodicity and reason for break-downs and carry our root cause analysis (RCA) of breakdowns and devise preventive and corrective action (CAPA)


Desired Qualifications
Associate Degree with 8+ years or Graduate Degree with 4+ years or Master’s with 2+ years in mechanical field

Desired Skills & Experience
Sound Mechanical knowledge

Basic knowledge of PLC functioning and PLC troubleshooting

Essential Skills: Have worked in manufacturing industry having hands on experience in calibration or maintenance of automated production lines.
