A Business Systems Analyst I will:
Perform systems analysis, data analysis, and production support for company applications and administration systems.
Serve as the project lead for limited profile projects.
Gather, analyze, document and validate the needs of business stakeholders.
Provide functional requirement documents including inputs, processing steps and outputs to meet users' needs to assist developers in successfully translating and achieving project goals.
Create training documents and maintains project files and updates.
Facilitate training on new systems and/or process implementations.
Help with the analysis of workable solutions to application, web, and systems problems.
Focus on timely methods for achieving deliverables.
Work on small to large projects that have system-wide impact.
Must be able to develop skills in multiple technical environments and grasp business processes.
Assist with basic to moderate support issues.
Essential Duties:
Track support issues, perform root cause analysis, implement solutions, and support large group initiatives.
Perform project activities including requirements gathering, configurations, testing, training and go live support.
Cross-train and serve as a mentor to Associate Business Systems Analysts.
Serve as a technical expert on all aspects of data & application support.
Work with vendors to resolve issues, deliver system enhancements and support the application.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced organizational skills and ability to work independently
Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
Understanding of project management methodologies

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field, equivalent work experience or demonstrated competency
6 months - 2 years' programming, systems analysis, or business analysis experience, equivalent work experience and/or demonstrated competency
Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment
Or, equivalent military experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
LOMA courses; Master's Degree
Experience with process mapping/process documentation
Proven analytical and problem solving experience
Configuration experience with Enterprise applications

Use low code/no-code as well as traditional tools to enable integration with service management and collaboration systems to further productivity enhancements.
Work on small to large projects that have system-wide impact. Must be able to develop skills in multiple technical environments and grasp business processes. Assist with basic to complex support issues and performs as a subject matter expert (SME).
