Moffatt & Nichol is seeking an Engineer Diver to join our growing New York City office. The Engineer Diver position is responsible for underwater and topside inspection, structural analysis and rehabilitation design of waterfront structures on a worldwide basis. Engineer Divers at Moffatt & Nichol also work on the design and analysis of existing and new marine terminals, mooring and berthing systems, offshore wind facilities and urban waterfront developments. The majority of Moffatt & Nichol Engineer Divers obtain a civil or structural PE license. The successful candidate should have experience with the design of steel, concrete, and timber marine structures. Modeling experience of these structures is desirable but not required.

Duties and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience in inspection and structural analysis of waterfront structures. Specific job responsibilities for marine and waterfront structures will include but are not limited to: above and below water inspections, repair and rehabilitation designs, structural analysis, asset management, life cycle cost analysis, and / or supervision of rehabilitation construction.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Certified Diver - ADCI, HSE, DCBC, IMCA or ADAS
Engineering in Training certification. Professional Engineer license preferred
Waterfront facilities inspection in accordance with ASCE Manuals and Reports on Engineering Practice No. 130
Health and safety in accordance with ACOE EM 385-1-1
Resident engineering and construction management
Prepare clear and concise condition assessment and other engineering reports
Ability to perform structural analysis and design maritime structures to code including: timber, steel and concrete
Sea level rise impact assessment on waterfront infrastructure
Willingness and availability to travel worldwide is desired but not required
