Title: Human Ergonomics Engineer
Location: Remote
Education: B.S. or higher in human factors, ergonomics, industrial engineering, cognitive engineering, psychology, or other related field
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience working in a human-factors role preferably within construction, automotive, industrial, or related field (may be recent grad with sufficient internship or research experience)
Responsibilities:
Analyze user goals, sensory inputs, workflows, and tasks within scope of components to identify key user requirements, gaps, and opportunities
Analyze form and function for ease of use, cognitive cues
Identify immediate research / assessment needs and partner with teams to develop and participate in evaluations
Document key attributes and strategic guidelines
Suggest quick wins, longer term research and development, and next steps
Skills:
Must possess a thorough understanding human factors science, theories, models, and research methodologies as well as knowledge and application of ergonomic principles
Experience in understanding and utilizing anthropometric data
Experience in developing and conducting ergonomic assessments, usability testing, and task flow analyses
Able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
Experience in utilizing ergonomics and layouts tools highly desired
PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
