At Esri, our solution engineers are part of a highly-skilled team that helps shape strategies on the effective adoption and use of ArcGIS. We invite you to use your problem-solving skills and passion for cutting-edge geospatial technology to become a part of the partner and developer technical enablement team. We’re looking for individuals with a builder mindset, who chase emerging trends, and are natural evangelists for the role mapping and location intelligence can play within those trends. You’ll work closely with a team that helps guide startups, developers, and partners to build new products with the ArcGIS platform and bring them to market. Build relationships. Become a core member of the partner team and collaborate with emerging technology companies to help them build successful products.
Be an expert. Become a subject matter expert on Esri’s complete platform and associated developer technologies as well as viable business and licensing models.
Solve problems. Proactively craft, prototype, and propose solutions that clarify how Esri and ArcGIS bring value to our partners by addressing the critical engineering and business challenges they face. Define and deliver technical strategies that help partners realize this value.
Tell our story. Engineer, develop, and present demonstrations of proposed solutions to clients. Understand how to communicate ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders within partner organizations. Provide software implementation guidance and best practices.
3+ years of experience with the ArcGIS platform or other geospatial technologies
Demonstrated programming experience with JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or other
Experience with DBMS technology such as SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and Access
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and computing concepts
Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, geography, or a related field, depending on position level

Experience designing software products and/or applications
Experience with mapping APIs and location-based services such as ArcGIS for Developers
Familiarity with one or more of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop HDFS, Spark, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Presto
Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to application deployment and system architecture
A passion for entrepreneurship and realizing new ideas
