Schneider & Company is a Mfg. Rep/Distributor of premier automation, assembly and robotics products in the states of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Our products are a combination of standard automation components as well as system solutions used in manufacturing facilities. Examples of products we sell are: Robots, Feeding and Conveyor systems, Assembly process products like pressing, riveting and screw driving and testing products.
Our Customers are a combination of end user manufacturing companies of all types and Machine Builder / System Integrators who build custom machines for manufacturing companies.
We are looking for a motivated sales professional with some experience selling automation products to add to our Sales Team to help us further develop our South West Michigan /Indiana territory; living in the Kalamazoo area is important for access to the sales area. We are working on a small tech center location in the Kalamazoo area for a few employees to work out of, have demo equipment onsite and the ability to do robotics training classes and other technical seminars.
About the Position:
Support our current customers and develop good relationships where they see us and our companies as high value and latest technology resources for their production equipment needs
Participate in evaluating "best choice" in quoting equipment based on listening to customers needs and knowledge of products
Ability to (individually or with assistance) demonstrate equipment, explain capabilities, give presentations and assist in setting up equipment and training after sale. Our sales team and marketing is very much based on "hands on" demonstrations of products and technologies.
Sales and Marketing activities including: customer database work, activity/order reports, forecasts, CRM and lead follow up, and work with our Marketing on new customer/business development events, target customer prospecting.
Helping to identify group needs and refocus; help our companies with their strategies for territory development and customer needs.
Travel is typically min. 3-4 days a week working in the territory, visiting customers. The territories are generally defined by a 2-3 hour driving radius of your home so to limit the overnight stays. There are a few overnight trips in a year for sales meetings, trade shows and training.

(2 Years min.) Sales Experience with Technical Products ( strongly preferred selling to manufacturing companies or machine builders and similar automation/assembly type products) Note: we will request references and proven track record of success
Engineering/Manufacturing (Mechanical or Electrical) experience and aptitude
Experience and Interest with Automation, Robotics and/or Assembly and Testing in manufacturing environments.
Min. 2 Year Associates Degree; Prefer 4 year Degree (Engineering, Business Related)
Very Good Computer skills required
Software and Soc. Media; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) LinkedIn
Working Knowledge or use of Cad and Print Reading (Preferred); ACad and/or Solidworks, edrawing
Work well as a team member
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary - $45,000 base draw against commission
Generous Commission - ($.50 on every dollar in/no cap)

Medical Allowance - $7,000 additional comp.
Paid Time Off (Working hours typically 8-5; M-F no weekends most Holidays paid) Vac. (1 Week after 1 year, 2 Weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 3+ years) PTO/Sick ( start the calendar year with 2 days- earn .5 day every month)
