The Big Picture:
The Environmental Sales Leader is responsible for selling and promoting the Howden Compressors Division product lines in the North American Marine, Water and Wastewater markets through leading the sales team, developing bid strategies, managing agents in the assigned geographical territory.
What needs to be done?
Lead and promote the sale of Howden Compressor products in North America for the Marine, Municipal Water and Waste water markets
Provide leadership, training and technical support to the new Build Environmental and Aftermarket sales team, driving business objectives
Implement market coverage strategies, leveraging Agents and sales team at Consulting Engineers and Municipalities
Drive product preference and product line initiatives in the market
Identify, track and bid projects in assigned territory
Be an active participant in technical organizations and support industry tradeshows
What do you need to bring?
Minimum 10 years sales/ sales management experience
Knowledge of and proven success in selling into the North American Municipal Water Market
Knowledge of the Wastewater treatment process in general
Knowledge of rotating equipment
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Sales Leadership and employee management experience
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions
Outstanding interpersonal skills that enable working relationships externally and internally
Ability to work across teams to utilize resources and maximize efficiency
Customer centric mind set, focused on building and improving customer relationships while utilizing value selling
Proven track record of exceeding aggressive goals and objectives
Goal oriented, high energy with strong values
Strategic account development experience
Position location open, with significant time spent supporting the sales team in Springfield, MO
Willingness to travel 50% of time
