Seemann Composites is seeking a full-time, Process Engineer to join its growing polymer group. This individual must have at least 7 years of solid hands-on polymer processing background. Position requires expertise in polymer processing equipment and process control management, with a background in chemistry desired. Additional skills relating to the position are tracking, managing and executing projects to a budget and schedule. In addition to process development, the individual will be required to create manufacturing work instructions, monthly reports and presentations to executive staff and customers . Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Process engineers are responsible for risk mitigation plans, testing, repair procedures and package completeness including engineering data, and testing packages. Technical customer deliverables are produced under the guidance of the Senior Project Engineer.

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry or technical degree with minimum 7 years proven polymer process development experience.
Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Engineering Technology fields may fulfill the education requirements with additional hands-on experience, at the discretion of the polymer group manager.
Required Skill and Competencies:
Demonstrated expertise in Process Engineering with understanding and experience in meeting budget and schedule requirements.
Experienced in the design, build and/or operation of polymer processing equipment necessary for converting liquid formulations into cured products, or similar equipment development expertise.
Experience in Labview, MATLAB, PLC programming and similar formats required.
Hands on formulation and laboratory experience desired but not required
Ability to write, edit and publish monthly technical status reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project skill desired and will need to be learned.
Good oral communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people, including designers, program managers, engineers, production leads, contractors and customers
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Must be able to pass standard drug test
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
