The Test Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting and testing a variety of mechanical and electrical systems on agricultural and construction equipment. Specifically, the Test Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting; test set-up and design; interpreting test results; supervising test technicians in test set-up and operation; documenting test results; and communicating results in written and verbal form. As a consultant at Applied, the Test Engineer will also have the opportunity to work on projects in other engineering fields, such as design or manufacturing engineering.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to conduct technical hands-on and analytical tasks with little supervision
Agricultural, construction, automotive or similar background
Experience in vehicle and component testing preferred
Experience in a lab environment with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation preferred
Knowledge of Team Center, Creo, and/or AutoCAD
Experience with vehicle HVAC systems
Experience with Dynamometer testing, controls and operation
