Job Description:
The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for software development, testing, and leadership of our suite of aerospace products.
Primary Duties:
Experience in airborne (DO-178) software engineering
Experience with software project management
Write requirements and detailed design
Perform coverage analysis of software
Understand microprocessor design and implementation
Troubleshooting of complex software issues
Design knowledge of Protocol (Ethernet, CAN, Serial, etc)
Device driver experience with ARINC, RS485, and RS232, etc
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Ada.
Experience with Matlab and/or Simulink
Exceptional oral and communication skills up and down the organization
Strong organization and multi-task skills
Keen interest in Aerospace
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in design, test and release of D0-178B/C products and tool qualification
Experience in embedded software with SoC, ARM, and DSP experience highly desirable
Experience in low level driver design/development
Simulink Modeling and code generation
Firmware experience a plus
Hardware in the loop experience
Experience with RTOS i.e. Green Hill, and DEOS
Experience with assembly code
Experience in signal processing
Experience with emulators
Work with Polarion ALM tool and Subversion
