Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Location: Irwindale
Supervisor: General Manager – United Rock Products
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Responsibilities: 50 Employees
Ensure that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the health and safety of all personnel involved.
Actively be involved with crews regarding safety program including MSHA and environmental inspections, training and site inspections
Lead the month ending inventory process including flying drone and completing the needed calculations. As part of operating the drone, the process engineer will be required to obtain a Drone Pilots license within the first 6 months.
Lead mine planning process for active sites utilizing autocad and/or mine planning software.
Participate in reclamation project design and construction
Assist with capital projects - providing daily directions for capital projects as needed
Lead SMARA compliance action list completion and participate in inspections (develop plan and timeline for resolution).
Participate in meetings with engineers and city regarding Pit and reclamation projects.
Investigate and prepare plan for improving internal road designs
Lead Stonemont implementation and rollout - develop understanding of aggregate quality assurance.
As a member of the United Rock leadership team, fill in for aggregate, reclamation and sales managers when unavailable.
Participate in the rollout of technology and automation projects including MOBILESales. - will provide a good understanding of sales process
Process map typical functions within the business unit to refine and improve historic procedures.
Manage KPI database to ensure continuous improvement and ensure proper use.
Lead Aggregate 6S implementation at URP.
Attend industry conferences and seminars to learn about mining, aggregate production, and equipment.
Participate in all URP management meetings including monthly financial reviews, quarterly sales, and QC meetings.
Assist with business development, acquisitions, or green field sites when opportunities arise.
Comprehensive leadership, communication and analytical skills.

Comprehensive knowledge of local aggregate practices, codes and regulations.
Estimating and Project Management Skills.
2-3 years of progressive experience in the Materials Industry or
PE in Civil Engineering with 2-3 years of progressive experience in project/operational management.
