The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and owning batch and streaming data pipelines that process large sets of data on a daily basis. These efforts are key in supporting the data science/analytics, business intelligence and reporting information needed. The Data Engineer will be interacting with multiple business team such as logistics, sales & marketing, finance and others to provide data solutions at scale to expanding corporate business opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)
Building and overseeing data infrastructure and processes including data governance and date integrity initiatives
Maintaining the AI/ML infrastructure (JupyterHub/Dask/Kubernetes) and building out the ML pipelines
Analyzing and organizing raw data prototypes, algorithms and systems
Collaborating with and managing the current and future data needs of different stakeholders on varying projects
Leading the establishment and execution of the data roadmap and high-level vision for information management, data acquisition and delivery, including enterprise data warehousing, big data, analytics/data intelligence, and data management
Provide Strategic direction in developing standards, reliability, architectural design, data acquisition and best practices
Understand data management interactions and dependencies across complex data pipelines and data transformation for prescriptive and predictive modeling
Combine raw information from multiple sources and translate information both a strategic/high level as well as understanding and communicating detailed data processes and infrastructure
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
Proven experience as a data engineer with experience in AWS, Redshift and S3
Experience in maintaining JupyterHub, Dask, Kubernetes systems
Expertise in building data and ML pipelines using technology like Apache Airflow
Technical expertise building models, mining, and segmentation techniques
Current working knowledge of data programming languages (Python and relevant libraries and implementation) and PostGreSQL or similar database design
Experience partnering with business teams to architect and strategize technology and data roadmap
Solid communication, adaptability and collaboration skills
Skills and Abilities
Master’s Degree in technical field
5 plus years’ experience
AWS Certification a plus
