We are currently seeking a Project Manager. As an integral member of the team, you will have a responsibility to liaise with our clients, as well as our internal engineers and other technical staff to ensure excellent project planning and execution. You will also have the opportunity to oversee resources and handle multiple projects. Your pride in ensuring that technical accuracy is achieved and that project objectives are met will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.
Maintains and builds healthy client relationships
Drives project planning and resourcing, detail engineering/ procurement, construction and initial operations
Effectively manage Solaris/Client contracts
Managing a basket of small jobs with various clients or a larger project and generally tight timelines
Clearly defines, plans and manages scope, cost and schedule to meet the project objectives
Provides clear and focused leadership for the project team to create a vision for project success and a strategy to meet that vision
Proactively monitors and controls project performance, scope, cost, schedule, and quality issues on an ongoing basis to identify issues and opportunities early and take appropriate actions as required
Assists Senior Project Engineer/ Senior Engineering staff in inter-discipline communication and interface management
Liaises with Project Controls, Regulatory, HSE, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and other disciplines to resolve project issues and facilitate smooth project execution
Ensures timely and effective documentation turnover and project close-out
Promotes team focus on achievement of key project objectives and initiates celebrating team successes
Skills and Qualifications:
7 + years of experience in project engineering / management and direct industry experience, preferably in the natural gas, oil, refining, or petrochemical sectors
Familiarity with a project gate process and change management
Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications (mechanical or process) is preferred
Proven ability in leading multidiscipline projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
Individuals must embrace working in a collaborative team environment that focuses on high performance and continuous improvement
Commitment to customer service and ability to effectively engage and build long term relationships with customers and company stakeholders
