The Product Engineer is responsible for the technical aspects of the Electronics Bulk Gas Product Line and is responsible to maintain and improve the UHP Standard Product Line. This role owns the Gen 1 Product Lines that serve customers such as Intel and Samsung. This role also owns the Gen 2 Product line developed for customers with lower purity requirements. An array of product offerings resides within each product line. This role is also the Third-Party Purifier Subject Matter Expert. This role develops new options / engineer to order products for customers when required. This role will work side by side with the current UHP Product engineer for knowledge transfer for about 6 months.
This position owns the UHP Standard Products for UHP bulk gas delivery
Includes: Bulk Gas Manifolds (Gen 1 and Gen 2 product line), Misc. Bulk Gas Equipment, Hydrogen Vapor Phase Withdrawal tanks, and Atmospheric cryogenic storage tanks.
This position will own the Third-Party Purifiers (Entegris (formerly SAES))
Assist the CE Asset Team with UHP Liquid Storage Tank Rebuilds by owning the rebuild specification and bill of material
Assist the CE Asset Team with procuring new UHP Liquid Storage Tanks by maintaining the new tank specification and bill of material
Development of new products as required by business and customer needs
Develop product documentation packages and maintain revision control via STAC
Prepare engineering documentation packages to give to a fabricator for quotation and build
Support the Project Team in preparing quotations for the Commercial team
Manage and maintain BOM's for specific Products developed by and owned by the team
Maintain and update the Engineering Standards as the standard owner
Participate in troubleshooting and Quality management issues as needed
Establish and maintain vendor relationships enabling product development and management
Complete productivity objectives within the fiscal year
Skills and Experience
8+ years of experience
Understanding of Ultra High Purity engineering requirements
Understanding of UHP customer applications of products
Understanding of supplier base and manufacturing processes of products
Strong interpersonal skills
High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements
B.S. Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Experience with P&ID Development
Knowledge of HAZOPs, UltraFlo, CAPP, STAC, and Air Products PDMs
Experience with Safety Relief Valve calculations and/or willingness to learn
Microsoft Office, Share-sites, SAP
